What is a pomodoro timer?
The pomodoro technique is a time management technique used to help people focus in 25 minute intervals. Each interval is called a pomodoro. After the pomodoro, you take a short 5-10 minute break and then you start the pomodoro again. After 4 pomodoros, you take a longer break, typically around 20-30 minutes.
How to use the pomodoro timer?
  • 1. Decide on the tasks to be done
  • 2. Set your pomodoro timer (typically 25 minutes)
  • 3. Work on the task
  • 4. End work when the timer rings and take a short break (5-10 minutes)
  • 5. Go back to Step 2 and repeat until you complete 4 pomodoros
  • 6. After four pomodoros are done take a long break (20-30 minutes) instead of a short break. After the long break is over, return to step 2.
